Determining the type of building construction
Determining the type of building construction is dependent on quite a number of things. This article sets forth the various considerations to keep in mind when assessing the building type
first that all types of buildings should be classified as follows:
Setting
* Masonry Joist
* Highly flammable
* Masonry noncombustible
* Modified fire-resistant
* Fire Resistant
Second Note that there are two main sources, to identify these types: International Building Code (IBC) and the Insurance Services Office (ISO). ISO is traditionally what the insurance companies use to refer to species, but the IBC is to use what architects and builders. Here’s what to expect in the two:
* International Building Code (IBC) International Building Code (IBC) is a model building code by the International Code Council (ICC). It is found in most of the United States. A large part of the International Building Code addresses fire protection. It differs from the corresponding integrated IBC Code International Fire on fire in the design and building code and fire safety, takes over permanently. Parts of the HTML codes from other codes such as the International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, National Electric Code, National Fire Protection Association, and other standards.
* Insurance Services Office (ISO): The Insurance Services Office Inc. (ISO) is a data provider, insurance, risk management and legal services / regulatory insurance for accidents at home and other clients.
Third Being aware of the IBC and styles ISO Rating. While a company can use ISO ratings, many production processes, the reference classifications IBC documents and it is important to be able to make a ISO. Why is it important to know? Often, an IBC is a kind of presentation is not an ISO, and there are situations in which they misinterpreted a FR frame building is classified as the shipping process!
